MORE ABOUT THE COFFEE

This coffee comes from the SNAP Garbota mill in the Wenago district of Yirgacheffe, within the Gedeo Zone in southern Ethiopia. Gedeo is renowned for its high-altitude landscapes and rich, fertile soil, making it one of the most prized coffee-growing regions in the world. The mill works with over 400 local farmers.

The coffee cherries are meticulously hand-sorted to remove any defects, and then the best cherries are spread on raised beds to dry in the sun. Due to the high altitudes, coffee grown here is exposed to a slower growth rate - allowing for the cherries to develop complexity and cleanliness for the final cup result.
