MORE ABOUT THE COFFEE

Gathaithi Farmers’ Co-operative brings together 1,542 active members in Nyeri County, about 160km north of Nairobi. Sitting between the elegant slopes of Mt Kenya and the Aberdare ranges, the factory sits on rich red-volcanic soils, packed with minerals and organic goodness that coffee loves. Cool mountain air and an annual rainfall of around 1,100mm, with temperatures between 16–26°C, create the perfect conditions for growing exceptional coffee.

This coffee shows bright red currant notes, the syrupy sweetness of sugarcane, and a soft, rounded milk chocolate finish, reflecting the highland terroir in every cup.
